RAUTAHAT, July 6: A woman has been hacked to death here in Pancharukhi VDC-2 of the district on Monday.
Ranju Devi Thakur, 30, wife of Bali Thakur Hajam, was found murdered with throat slit using razor balde. Locals said that Ranju Devi was hacked to death by her in-laws.
Locals had informed the Gangapipara-based Area Police Office about the incident laast night.
All the members of the family had fled the house following the incident. Before fleeing, Ranju Devi's in-laws had locked the house
Police informed that its preliminary investigation has also shown Ranju Devi's husband Bali, father-in-law Sumaru, Bali's younger brother and Bali's second wife jointly carried out the crime.
According to Police inspector Ram Prakash Chaudhary, her body has been sent to district hospital in Gaur for the post-mortem.
