What lies beneath the lake?
A dynasty of fins? 
Or pebbles mundane? 

What lies beneath the azure?
A gathering of the subconscious?
Or of filth immense?

What lies beneath her eyes?
A shrinking violet? 
Or sleets of the winter rain?
