POKHARA, May 30: Senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal Thursday accused the UCPN (Maoist) of getting involved in a plot to disrupt the Constituent Assembly elections.

“The UCPN (Maoist) is trying to spoil the environment for new elections by renewing disputes over already resolved issues,” Nepal said during a Press Chautari program in Pokhara today. [break]

“The Maoists are trying to backtrack on the earlier agreements on the threshold (for proportional representation), the CA size and eligibility of those convicted of serious crimes for running in elections,” he added. He also said at his point of time nobody can think of the alternative to new elections and stressed on conducting new elections in November.
