Two trafficked women in safe hands now

DANG, Aug 24: Two women, who were lured into lucrative foreign employment opportunities and sold in India and Kuwait, have been rescued, according to their relatives.



The human traffickers Chandra Kala BK and Ram Kali Budhathoki had sold their neighbours Belmati Budhathoki of Charakmatiya of Panchakule VDC-2 and Khima Khadka of Khayarbhatti of Purandhara VDC-8 in the two countries.[break]



A local, Pradeep Sunar, who is working in Mumbai, rescued Belmati after 10 days and Khadka´s neighbor Dipak Nepali freed Khadka from Kuwait two months later and brought them home.



Both of them are now under the protection of Women Community Center and Paraligal Committee, Panchakule.



Tulsipur Area Police Office arrested Ram Kali in connection with the incident. However, Chandra Kala has been absconding.
