Sachin Shrestha, 25, of Maitidevi and Pujan KC were arrested by a team of policemen deployed from Metropolitan Police Sector Office, Gaushala. The team was led by Inspector Santosh Tamang.
Shrestha is believed to be a member of a gang of around 12 individuals that attacked Karki with swords on Friday evening. Karki succumbed to injuries at Medicare Hospital the same evening.
The gang leaders -- Suman and Sundar Khadka -- are still at large.
