TANAHUN, Sept 19: Vice-president of the opposition Nepali Congress (NC), Ram Chandra Paudel, has said that attempts are underway to keep people in illusion in the name of national consensus among the political parties.
Speaking on the occasion of the 14th Ganesh Man Memorial Day in Damauli on Monday, leader Paduel said country´s political stalemate will end if thought and livelihood of the late Singh were translated into practice.[break]
The NC leader accused the Maoist party of continuing the politics of weapons and reiterated that the constitution will not be drafted until the combatants were integrated and arms were managed.
Paudel stressed for complete implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Accord (CPA) to conclude the ongoing peace process and draft the new constitution.
NC leaders Ram Chandra Pokhrel, Dhruba Wagle and others also expressed their opinions at the program.
