KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Nepal Teachers' Federation (NTF) has expressed dissatisfaction with some of the provisions of  School Education Bill registered in the federal parliament.

The NTF has expressed its reservation on issues such as giving permanent status to temporary teachers, creating additional posts for school staff, hiring class teachers of children from outside the school structure, new proposal to calculate temporary period and pension period, teachers' promotion, appointment of principal, and teachers’ transfer and performance evaluation.

President of the NTF, Kamala Tuladhar, said that the government has ignored the agreement made with the Federation and added that they are forced to start a fresh protest against the provisions if they are not amended.

The government registered the Bill to amend and integrate the school education related laws in the House of Representatives on September 13.
