Tanahun accident death toll reaches three

TANAHUN, May 17: The number of death toll has reached three when in a jeep (Ga 1 Cha 2592) en route to Thantipokhari of Gorkha from Dumre met with accident in Bhanu-5, Andhikhola on Sunday afternoon.

Among those killed in the incident, Som Bahadur Gurung, 17, of Palungtar of Gorkha, is the last one to this date, police informed.[break]

Gurung breathed his last on the way to Manipal teaching hospital, Pokhara for further treatment.

In the accident, Shobha Ranabhat, 30, 0f Gorkha, Palungtar and Kul Bahadur Gurung, 35, died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Nar Bahadur Bohora, 34, of Baitadi died when Mahendranagar-bound truck (Na 3 Kha 27) hit motorbike (Ma 1 Pa 2504) from the opposite direction. Bohora was travelling in the motorbike.

Pedestrian Bhani Nepali of Krishnapur-2 and motorbike rider Charcha Bahadur Bam of Bhimdutta municipality were injured in the incident, according to District Police Office, Kanchanpur.

The injured are being treated in Mahakali hospital.
