DANG, Feb 27: Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has said that the lack of unity among the political parties has created hurdles in the implementation of the new constitution.
The consensus among the lawmakers represented in the Legislature-Parliament is necessary for the implementation of the constitution, Speaker said.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Dang chapter on Saturday, Gharti said (that) she has been rendering efforts to forge consensus among the political parties. "I have been making efforts to bring the parties into consensus and I am hopeful that it will bring an outlet soon."
It has been a major agenda today to bring the Madhesi parties to bring into confidence and the talks with them is heading toward a positive direction.
She further said that the government is preparing to endorse bills in the coming parliament session so as to implement the constitution.
