KATHMANDU, Dec 23: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has requested Speaker Devraj Ghimire not to suspend RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane from the post of member of parliament (MP).
On Monday, RSP MPs Santosh Pariyar, Sobita Gautam, and Ganesh Parajuli met Speaker Ghimire at Singha Durbar and urged him not to suspend Lamichhane from MP post.
In response, Speaker Ghimire said that discussions are ongoing regarding the matter, and a decision will be made after reviewing the constitution, laws, and parliamentary rules.
