KATHMANDU, Dec 30: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has extended hearty best wishes for the happiness, peace and prosperity of sisters and brothers of the entire Tamu community in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Tamu Lhosar Festival.
In a message of best wishes on the occasion, President Yadav has expressed the confidence that festivals such as the Tamu Lhosar contribute towards spreading the feelings of friendship and unity among all Nepalis whether they are living in the mountainous region, the hilly region or the Tarai Madhesh plains region.[break]
The President has also wished that may this festival inspire one and all towards protecting and promoting all the festivals and traditions, languages, costumes and cultures in the country.
Similarly, Vice President Parmananda Jha, in his message of best wishes on the occasion, stated that the festival of Tamu Lhosar is a popular festival of the Gurung peoples of the country which is rich in terms of culture, festivals and unique features.
