KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal paid tribute to the body of martyr Bishnu Lal Maharjan at Tundhikhel on Sunday.
Prime Minister Nepal showed state honor covering martyr´s body with national flag.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nepal said the government would respect the sentiment of all martyrs including Maharjan. He added that the government would make arrangement for his family support.
Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Nembang, CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal, Chairman of Unified CPN- Maoist Puspa Kamal Dahal ´Prachanda´, Nepali Congress Vice president duo Prakash Man Singh and Gopal Man Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala, Ministers, Lawmakers, leaders of various political parties, intellectuals, representatives of civil society, professionals including large mass of general public reached there to pay tribute to martyr Maharjan.
Maharjan, who was injured while he was actively participating during the Jana Andolan II, died at around five on Saturday evening while undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Model Hospital.
His Body was kept at Tundikhel Khula Manch since 8 am to 12 noon Saturday to pay last tribute.
