BUTWAL, April 17: One person died and another was injured in a vehicle accident at Milanchok of Butwal on Wednesday morning.
The one who died is identified as Raju Gurung, 56, of Butwal- 11. [break]
The accident took place when he was returning home at Deepnagar on a friend´s motorcycle, when he was in morning walk.
Motorcyclist of Butwal-9, Om Gurung is severely injured and is sent to B and B Hospital, Kathmandu, after treatment at Lumbini Zonal Hospital Butwal, said police.
The motorcycle Lu 9 Pa 7714 was hit by the minibus Lu 1 Kha 7119 heading for Kathmandu from Krishnanagar of Kapilbastu.
Witnesses said the motorcycle was dragged by the bus for about 200 meters after hitting it. The high-speed minibus had first hit a jeep and then a car before hitting the motorcycle.
However, the car and jeep have got no damage. Angered youths vandalized the bus and police have arrested the driver and impounded the bus.
