KATHMANDU, May 9: A meeting of the NEPSE board of directors held on May 4 decided to open the secondary market from Monday to Friday, starting May 15.
At present, the share market is open from Sunday to Thursday till mid-May while the market remains closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) is set to open on Friday after the government decided for a two-day weekend - Saturday and Sunday - to come into effect from May 15. The government has also decided to maintain office hours from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM from May 15. In view of the government decision, the market will remain open on Fridays as it has to be closed on Sundays.
