KATHMANDU, DEC 16: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a bus in Sinamangal, Kathmandu. Ram Krishna Ranjitkar, 42, from Sinamanghal was killed after a bus with the registration number BA-5-CHA-5622 hit him. The deceased hails from Kavre, according to police.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatt, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, informed Republica that Ranjitkar, who was seriously injured in the accident, died at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, in the course of treatment. Spokesperson Bhatt said that the bus driver has been detained by the police and an investigation into the accident is underway.
