KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Furba Sherpa, 38 a resident of Chapali, Bhadrakali, originally from Shankhuwashaba district was found with throat slit on Sunday night near his under-construction house. Police have arrested three persons including the wife of the deceased on Monday.
According to police the body was found lying on a shallow pit near the house. Police team investigating the death said money and his wife´s alleged extra-marital affair could have links to the death. Sherpa had reportedly withdrawn Rs 200,000 from the bank on Sunday. [break]
Police have arrested the deceased wife, a man who was allegedly in illicit relationship with her, and a laborer from the under-construction house.
Meanwhile, Saraswati Upadhyaya, 70, died in a fire in Brahmatol in Kathmandu on Sunday. She died at Bir Hospital, police said. Two others injured in the fire are undergoing treatment, according to police.
