KATHMANDU, April 20: Judicial Council (JC) is planning to recommend the names of ten new justices—three permanent and seven ad hoc--at the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
According to Interim Constitution, the Judicial Council can recommend 15 permanent justices and ad hoc justices as per the necessity. There are 12 permanent justices at Supreme Court at present.
The JC meeting on Monday was expected to make the recommendations. As meeting failed to make decision today, the meeting scheduled for Wednesday is expected to make the decision.
The JC meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, JC Acting Secretary Krishna Giri said.
