KATHMANDU, June 23: On June 27, popular folk classical ensemble Kutumba will be playing at Trisara restaurant in Lazimpat to help raise funds for schoolchildren in Sindhupalchowk.

'Kids Back to Classroom' is an effort to help children get back to classrooms. Organized by Sadbhaw, an initiative of National Volunteering Program, and Himalayan Climate Initiative (HCI) in partnership with YUWA, the event aims to help Seti Devi Lower Secondary School at Listi in Sindhupalchowk.Santosh Ojha, who is leading Sadbhaw, says, "Right now the priority is to get children back to their books. The building of Seti Devi School has been reduced to rubbles and it's hard for the children to study without books. They don't even have a proper room to study in. We hope that through the funds we collect, the school management can set up temporary learning centers or use it to buy books for the children."

Apart from performances by Kutumba, the audience will also be treated to a puppet show prepared by YUWA. As stated by Kanchan Kharel, President of YUWA, the puppet show is a special tool of the organization used to spread awareness about earthquakes.

Starting from 4 PM onwards, the ticket to the event is priced at Rs 350. All the money raised from the event will go toward getting children back to the classrooms.
