KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Historian Purushottam Shamsher Rana has passed away at the age of 99.
Rana passed away during treatment at Nepal Medicity Hospital in Kathmandu this afternoon. He was born on March 28, 1926 in Charburja Durbar.
He has written books like “Ranakalin Pramukh Darbarharu” (The major palaces from the Rana-era) and “Shree 3 haruka brittanta” (The tales of the Rana Prime Ministers).
He was the grandson of Rudra Shamsher and the son of Ishwar Shamsher.
