KATHMANDU, March 11: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) conducted health screenings for Members of Parliament, employees, and media personnel.
The tests focusing on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease were carried out at Lhotse Hall in the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.
The government is conducting a one-month campaign in the month of Falgun (mid-February to mid-March) to identify non-communicable diseases. As part of this campaign, members of parliament have undergone tests for diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney-related diseases, as well as measurements of their height and weight.
The health ministry has written a letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat requesting it to facilitate the testing process. A team of doctors was deployed from the MoHP to test for non-communicable diseases.
