“The fair aims to nurture domestic industries and give impetus to local businesses,” said Hem Bikram Thapa, president of KCCI. The fair also has imported goods for display and sales.

The stalls in the festival also showcase pictures and items that highlight tourism potential of the region.

The organizer has also arranged children´s park, circus and other entertainment items and invited national and local artists for holding cultural programs. KCCI has said that the fair and festival would be visited by at least 100,000 people.

KCCI has been organizing the far-western fair and tourism festival since the last nine years to promote consumerism, businesses and industries in the region, apart from recognizing the region as a major tourism destination of the country.
