KATHMANDU, Jan 22: A Nepal Police DSP has committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol Saturday evening.
Kanchan Thapa, 41, shot at his right temple with his pistol at 6:30 in the evening at his residence in Basundhara at around 6:30 in the evening.
The officer with the special task force at the Police Headquarters was announced dead at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
