KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress´ Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel failed to get elected as Prime Minister for the sixth time on Sunday afternoon.
During the sixth round of voting in parliament, the motion to elect Dahal as PM received 240 votes while 101 lawmakers voted against the motion. Similarly, the motion to elect Paudel received only 122 votes.
The next round of election has been scheduled for September 7.
