Consensus the key: Minister Rawal

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Home Minister Bhim Rawal has said the parties should solve the present political deadlock through consensus and collaboration.



"Continuous talks and dialogue is necessary among parties for consensus and collaboration," he said while inaugurating the newly constructed building of Metropolitan Police Range, Buddhanagar.[break]



The deadlock prolonged by failure to select a new prime minister has also affected the law and order situation of the country, he said, adding that a new prime minister should be chosen on the basis of consensus.



He also said public support is necessary for police to maintain peace and security and to control criminal activities.



The building was constructed at Rs. 2 million through the joint involvement of public and the Home Ministry.



On the occasion, Minister Rawal honoured the locals who lend financial assistance to build the building.
