The meeting of the party´s politburo that was held February 14 through 16 in the capital also concluded that the UCPN (Maoist) proposal was flawed and that the party protested it.[break]
"The present coalition government of the Maoist and the Madhes-centric parties is gradually assuming an authoritarian, irresponsible and anti-people character and there is an urgent need to wage a strong protest movement against it," party General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh stated in a press release.
The CPN (Masal) has also flayed the parties in the opposition coalition saying that they flouted the earlier understanding of not making any statements in support of federalism in the protest assemblies that the coalition held in different places. It said it will oppose federalism in the future protest movements.
The Rastriya Janamorcha, the political wing of the party which is participating in open politics, is also one of the partners in the opposition coalition.
