OKHALDHUNGA,June 26: Three persons including a bride and her groom are missing after a boat carrying members of the marriage procession coming from Okhaldhunga to Udayapur capsized in Sunkoshi river.
Mahesh Dhamala of Ghurmi, Udayapur, his bride Sumitra Luitel of Balkhu-6, Okhaldhunga and a member of the procession Tilak Rai have been missing after the boat capsized in Thumleghat, Balkhu-7.
Inspector at Okhaldhunga Police Achyut Chapagain said one person was rescued after four out of the nine aboard the boat went missing. Police said the boat might have overturned due to overload and high water level.
