MYAGDI, June 9: Five domestic tourists returning from Mustang were injured in a road accident at Dana, Titar of Annapurna Rural Municipality-3 on Monday.
The accident occurred when a Scorpio jeep (BA 19 Cha 5602), travelling from Jomsom to Beni, lost its brakes while descending a slope and collided with a roadside divider.

Out of eight people on board, five sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Beni, according to Inspector Sagar Timilsina of the District Police Office, Myagdi.
The injured have been identified as 41-year-old Ranju Shrestha of Banasthali, Kathmandu; 46-year-old Bindu Baral of Zero Kilometer, Pokhara Metropolitan City–7; 50-year-old Keshav Prasad Baral; 53-year-old Devendra Baral; and 36-year-old Tara Kunwar of Srijangha Rural Municipality–2, Taplejung. Hospital officials said all of them are out of danger and recovering.
Police have taken the driver, 42-year-old Nahakul Prasad Pudasaini of Phulbari Municipality–2, Kavre, currently residing in Amarsingh Chowk, Pokhara Metropolitan City–10, into custody for further investigation.
