KATHMANDU, March 12: Attorney General Raghav Lal Baidya argued in the full-bench hearing at the Supreme Court on Thursday that though the fresh recruitment drive in the Nepal Army is "unconstitutional", the apex court´s stay order should not be continued.
According to our correspondent Kiran Chapagain, AG Baidya told the hearing in the full bench of justices Ram Prasad Shrestha, Khila Raj Regmi and Girish Chandra Lal that since a huge amount of state resources has already been spent and the 3000-plus new recruits are in the process of undergoing training, the stay order issued on February 22 should be discontinued.

Baidya, however, told the court to issue orders to stay such recruitments in the future.
He also said the Army Headquarters should have stopped the recruitment after it received orders from the government on December 24.
During a hearing on March 3, two justices were divided over whether to continue the stay order issued on February 22.
