The accident took place when a bus, Ko 1 Kha 3591, heading towards the west from the east and a truck, Na 4 Kha 5100, coming from the opposite direction collided with each other.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, the injured have been referred to Biratnagar from the District Hospital, Inaruwa, for further treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyam Singh Chaudhary, said that the accident might have taken place due to over speed. Police have impounded both vehicles. RSS
