KHAJURE, Surkhet, Jan 23: The people of Ghoreta of Surkhet district have been terrorized as a rabid jackal has wreaked havoc in Ghoreta VDC of Surkhet for the past few days.
More than 12 people of Lukui and Suntola VDCs have been injured.
The injured reach as far as the district headquarters Birendranagar and Nepalgunj for treatment by traveling whole day for fear of rabies.
Although there is a sub-health post in the VDC, they have to walk to the district headquarters, as there are no rabies vaccines.
No health team has reached there even if such a terror still persists, said a local Amar Hamal.
