UML wins Chame, Nesyang in Manang

POKHARA, May 15: UML has secured the position of chairmen in Chame and Nesyang Rural Municipalities in Manang district.

According to the office of returning officer, Lokendra Bahadur Ghale, the chairman candidate of CPN-UML, won the local level election in Chame Rural Municipality of Manang district.

The vote count completed on Monday morning. Ghale secured 214 votes while his nearest rival Anita Lama from Nepali Congress garnered 173 votes.

Chame became the first local units in terms of election result.

Likewise, Kanchha Ghale of UML won the contest for the position of chairperson in Nesyang Rural Municipality. Ghale secured 627 votes while his nearest rival NC's Binod Gurung got only 461 votes.
