Standup comedian Apoorwa Kshitiz Singh has been released on date on Thursday after he was diagnosed with Covid-19.
According to Ganga Prasad Poudel, Head of Kathmandu District Public Prosecutor's Office, Singh was released to appear later after his treatment at Bir Hospital.
Singh was taken into custody on Sunday evening on the accusation of satirizing and hurting the sentiments of the Newar community through a comedy video posted on YouTube channel ‘Comedy Café’.
