CHARIKOT, June 25: Bhimeshwar Municipality has started doing homework to construct airport at Charikot, the district headquarters of Dolakh, the major tourist destination of the district.

The municipality has started working on the airport construction taking the traffic congestion, growing number of tourists and activities due to hydropower projects into consideration.

The second municipal assembly of Bhimeshwar municipality held at the district headquarters Charikot on Sunday allocated the budget for the feasibility study of the airport.

In the budget speech of the Fiscal Year 2075/76 made public on Sunday, Rs 200,000 has been allotted for the feasibility study of the airport.

Delivering a budget speech at the municipal assembly on Sunday, Deputy Mayor Kamala Basnet said that the budget has prioritized the entire physical infrastructure including the airport construction at Charikot.
