NSU stages demo in front of Indian Embassy

KATHMANDU, May 15: Nepal Students Union (NSU), student’s wing of the Nepali Congress, has protested in front of Indian Embassy, Lainchaur on Tuesday shouting slogans against the Oli-led government for laying the foundation stone for the Arun-III and the remark made by Kirti Azad, a lawmaker from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). 

A team led by NSU President Nainsingh Mahar staged demonstration saying that the remark made by the Indian lawmaker that Janakpur be brought back to India, is an insult to the National flag of Nepal.

The NSU also lashed out at the government for allowing the Indian Army during Indian Prime Minister Modi's Nepal visit is an insult to the Nepal Army.

The BJP lawmaker had made the statement when the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Nepal on a two-day state visit.
