The 22nd Nepal International Book Fair aims to inculcate a reading habit among people of age groups as well as facilitate new authors and publishers and increase popularity of printed materials in this age of digital media.

Have you been searching for a book but have been unable to find it at the local bookshops? Head to the 22nd Nepal International Book Fair 2018, that is all set to take place from June 1 till June 9 at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. This is where you will get to browse through hundreds and thousands of books and then pick up a few titles of your choice at great prices to boot. 

Moreover, there are book launches and talk programs lined up that you would not want to miss out on. Sajha puraskar winner Peter J. Karthak, whose first book in English, The Kathmandruids, was recently out in the market, will be in conversation with Abhi Subedi in a fun and informative discussion titled ‘My Kind of Kathmandu’. Then, Hari Bansha Acharya, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Manoj Gajurel will tickle your funny bone as well as make your reflect on your actions as they discuss life in its myriad shades. Similarly, on the final day of the event, Gagan Thapa, Ghanashyam Bhusal and Rabindra Mishra will be talking about the issue and difficulties in politics in Nepal and in general, in what promises to be an enlightening and much-needed conversation. 

What’s more, you will also see many other familiar faces like Amar Neupane, Kumar Nagarkoti, Nayan Raj Pandey, Buddhisagar, Sujeev Shakya, Archana Thapa at the event as they are all participating in various discussions during this latest edition of the book fair.
