POKHARA, August 2: Tourism entrepreneurs have expressed their objection to the Tourism Act introduced by the Gandaki Provincial government, saying that it will displace tourism businesses instead of establishing them. The Act was passed by the Provincial Assembly last Friday. The entrepreneurs complained that the Act tries to confuse the business rather than making it flourish.

POKHARA, JUNE 29: The road to cross the Ritthepani hill that falls on the eastern side of the approach of the Pokhara Regional International Airport, whose physical infrastructure is in the final stages of construction, has been opened. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the regulatory body for the airspace, and the Forest Department reached an agreement only on Tuesday to cut down the hill and the trees there.

POKHARA, June 15: A Tara Air plane crashed in Mustang, during the Pokhara-Jomsom flight, two weeks ago. All the passengers and the crew members on board the plane died in the crash. Following the accident, the aviation regulatory body, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), decided not to provide permission to domestic flights to fly until the weather is clear.
