All departmental final in women football

SUNSARI, Dec 23: The final of the women's football in the Seventh National Games is set to be departmental competition as Nepal Police Club and Armed Police Club (APF) registered win in the semifinals on Friday.
 
In the last four clashes held at Duhabi and Sunsari, the Police team registered a comfortable 5-0 win over the Central Region and the APF overcame Tribhuvan Army Club 3-0.
 
Niru Thapa scored hat-trick for Police and Srijana Khadka netted brace in its comfortable win over Central Region. Police took early third minute lead with Niru finding the back of net. Srijana extended the lead by two minutes later. 

Niru notched her personal second in the 23rd minute to make the score 3-0. Srijana netted in the 43rd for her second individual goal. Niru completed her hat-trick in 51st minute which eventually saw Police finishing the match 5-0. Two star Srijana was declared the-player-of-the-match.
 
In other semifinal of the competition, Rekha Poudel, Anita KC and Ranjana Darji scored one goal each in APF's 3-0 win over Army. Rekha put APF ahead in the 18th minute while Anita doubled the advantage in the 27th minute. Ranjana added another in the 55th minute as APF registered comfortable win to set up departmental final. APF's Ranjana was declared as the-player-of-the-match.
 
The summit clash between the Police and APF will be played on Saturday while the two semifinalists Army and Central region also will vie for the third place honors on the same day.
