BHARATPUR, May 12 : An 18-year-old youth drowned while swimming in the Narayani River in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-17, Chitwan on Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Kumar Nepali, a resident of Majhuwa in Bharatpur-17. According to police, he was swimming with his parents when the incident occurred around 1:30 pm.

He was rescued in an unconscious state and rushed to New Medical College in Bharatpur by his father. However, he was pronounced dead during treatment at 2:29 pm, hospital sources confirmed.
Police said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
