Weather to remain mostly cloudy nationwide with heavy rainfall expected in some provinces

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rainfall throughout various areas of the country today, with chances of continuous rains for the next three days.

Currently, the low-pressure line is located near the average position.

According to the MFD, this afternoon, the country is expected to be generally cloudy with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places in Madhesh Province.

The MFD said that the country is expected to be generally cloudy across the country tonight. 

Similarly, light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is likely at some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as reported by the MFD.

Likewise, there is a possibility of very heavy rain at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places in other provinces.

Afternoon: The forecast indicates generally cloudy conditions throughout the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places of Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two areas of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight: The country is expected to be mostly cloudy throughout the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in all seven provinces. The forecast indicates that heavy rain is also possible in one or two areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in Madhesh Province. Likewise, heavy rain is also possible in one or two areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

At night: The country is expected to be generally cloudy across the country with a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in Madhesh and Karnali provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two areas of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.
