UML assumes opposition role in parliament

KATHMANDU, July 7: The CPN-UML took the opposition bench seat in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting held on Sunday.

Earlier, stating that the CPN-UML had withdrawn its support to the government, a meeting of the party decided to assume the role of opposition in parliament. Similarly, the CPN-UML informed the Parliament Secretariat that it had withdrawn its support to the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Earlier on July 1, the UML signed an agreement to form a power alliance with the Nepali Congress.
