The Buddhacharya family has been running a curio shop at Swyambhyu for 40 years. Now, 36-year-old Prabin Buddhacharya is responsible for the near half-century old family-owned shop. While at work, Buddhacharya likes interacting with foreigners about Nepali history. However, he is concerned that the number of Nepalis with interest in culture and heritage is decreasing. He says, “More than us, the foreigners are interested in our culture.” To preserve the cultural integrity of Nepal, he yearns to continue with his shop.
