Affinity for cooking and traveling

Pasang Sherpa, a 24-year-old, believes in living a simple life. He first came to Kathmandu at 12, from Bhojpur,  to pursue his education. Here, he completed SLC but soon stopped his studies and chose multiple careers, as a chef and trekking guide.

Sherpa works as a thenduk cook in a Boudha restaurant, and during trekking season, he explores the mountains with foreign trekkers. But eventually, the young Sherpa dreams of starting his own restaurant. “Since cooking is a part of my life, I want to open my own restaurant in Boudha some day because, amidst the chaos, there is a sense of serenity in the aura of this place,” he stated.
