RPP-N, RPP become one party
KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Rastriya Prajatratra Party, Nepal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have signed a unification deal at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi in the capital amid a program on Monday.
"The RPP an RPP-N have unified today. The newly unified party has become Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)," Mohan Shrestha, former joint spokesperson of the RPP-N told Republica Online.

As per the earlier agreement reached between the two parties, Kamal Thapa has been elected the Chairman and Parliamentary Party leader of the unified party, while Pashupati Shumsher Rana the National Chairman.
Earlier, a joint meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) held at the central office of the RPP-N at Dhumabarahi on November 16 had decided to make the upcoming party unification declaration assembly a success.
The meeting had also decided to form a central works execution committee comprising 12 members each from both parties and a central executive committee with 150 members each from the both parties.
Both the parties have reached an agreement to hold unity convention by mid-February.
Since long, both the parties had been trying to get unified to address the current poltical imbroglio.
