KATHMANDU,

A complaint has been lodged against 1974 AD band and Sanjay Shrestha, the manager of the band, at the District Police Office, Kathmandu, accusing them of not performing at a program in the UK even after taking fees for the same.

On behalf of HAB amoment Limited, UK, Nabin Gurung of Lalitpur has filed a complaint against the band and its manager Sanjay Shrestha, demanding Rs 300,000 in compensation. The complainant has accused that the band did not perform in London even after taking the fees.

SSP Bharat Bahadur Bohora, the chief of District Police Office, Kathmandu, said that the police will also seriously investigate the complaint received through email. Bohora said, “We have yet to understand what has happened in this case."

Shrestha, the band manager, claimed that there was no contract with Nabin Gurung and that they did not know him. He said that since they have gone through the legal process, now they will also fight the legal battle.

According to Gurung, it was agreed last mid-April that the band will perform at a musical program in London with arrangement of artists and HAB amoment limited will be the organizer.

Meanwhile, a case was filed against the band and the band manager at the district court on Tuesday.
