“Overseas Chinese Bookstores’ Joint Book Exhibition” concluded in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU

“Overseas Chinese Bookstores’ Joint Book Exhibition” which kicked off on February 11, 2021 during the Spring Festival in the China Books Center in Kathmandu concluded on February 23, 2021.

The “Overseas Chinese Bookstores’ Joint Book Exhibition” has been held 10 times since 2010 and there were more than 100 Chinese bookstores participating and millions of books displayed in the activity.

According to a press statement released by Joint Book Exhibition, in the exhibition, a large number of excellent Chinese works were displayed including President Xijinping :The Governance of China, President Xijinping: the Belt and Road, The Log on A Chinese War Against COVID-19 in 2020, etc.

The fair has attracted many local people and let them feel the charm of Chinese literary works. China Books Center invited famous scholars, writers and representatives of publishing houses in Nepal, etc. for a reading party to select the best Chinese book in their mind.

Many cultural products with Chinese characteristics were also on display which include a large number of cultural and creative artworks with Tibetan characteristics like Tibetan incense, Tibetan medicine, and Buddha statues.

The book exhibition is sponsored by China National Publication Import & Export (Group) Co, Ltd (CNPIEC) and undertaken by China International Book Trading Group Co, Ltd (referred to as "Guotu Group").
