One dies of dengue in Tanahun

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: A person has died of dengue in Tanahun. According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, a 50-year-old male died of dengue in Tanahun on Monday.

This is the first case recorded of death due to dengue infection since 2024, said Gokarna Dahal, head of the Entomology Division.

Dahal reported that 2,365 people have been infected and one has died of dengue so far. Last year, Tanahun had recorded the highest number of dengue cases. This year dengue infection has spread to 73 districts, he said.
