Nepal 'A' limits Ireland Wolves to 157 runs

KATHMANDU, April 3: Ireland Wolves have set a low target of just 158 runs for Nepal ‘A’ in the first one-day practice match at the TU International Cricket Ground. This match marks the beginning of a series of three one-day matches between Nepal and Ireland Wolves.

Ireland Wolves scored a total of 157 runs, losing all 10 wickets in just 38.3 overs.

Ireland Wolves won the toss and decided to bat first in the match being played at TU International Cricket Ground on Wednesday. 

For Nepal, Kamal Singh Airee took four wickets with a hat-trick. He took three consecutive wickets on the first, second and third balls of the 39th over. Airee who bowled 6.3 overs, bowled an over maiden and gave away 21 runs. 

Similarly, Mausam Dhakal and Sahab Alam took two wickets each while Rijan Dhakal took one wicket. 

Cade Carmichael top scored for Wolves. He scored 51 runs off 77 balls with four fours. Captain Neil Rock scored 39 runs off 32 balls with two fours and three sixes. Peter Moore scored 21 runs while James McCollum and Stephen Doheny added 12 runs each. 

As per the schedule, the second match will be played on Friday and the final match will be played on Sunday.
