Infographics: Losing time, losing money ​

Long bank queues mean losing precious money too, not just time. It’s been more than 10 days since the government announced cash clean-up. While people line up at banks to withdraw, deposit or exchange the invalid Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, they stand to lose about Rs 1,150 in a day just by waiting in the long queues. This infographic attempts to show how much a person can lose during the long hours of wait. 

It’s been more than 10 days since the government announced its cash clean-up. While people line up at banks to exchange the invalid banknotes for new ones, or take out cash from ATMs, they stand to lose up to Rs 1,150 in a day.
