Actor Manisha Koirala is living a healthy life these days. It has already been seven years since Manisha was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. During this period, the ‘Agni Sakshi’ actor focused on awareness about cancer and advocated throughout the gap.

“7 years of being cancer-free and in good health...Working to satisfy my hunger for creativity...Knowing giving back to the society which has bestowed so much of affection is not only a duty but is pure love…HOW CAN I NOT BE NOT GRATEFUL #blessed #gratitude #ikikai,” Manisha tweeted with a picture of herself on Thursday.

Earlier in December, Manisha released her biopic, ‘Healed’, where she shared about her understanding of existence in a life or death situation. Even translated in Nepali, the book describes the courage and determination toward life. The book was released in the capital. During the launch event of the book in 2018, she said, “I have acted in all genres of movies in my 30 years career. But after diagnosed with cancer, I realized the importance of life and learned to be hopeful.”

“I used to think that being diagnosed with cancer meant death. It took a long time for me to realize that people won’t die just because they have been diagnosed with it.” Despite everything, Manisha is always hopeful for the advanced affordable cancer treatment in Nepal.

Debuted as an actor in Bollywood from Subhash Ghai’s movie – ‘Saudagar’, Manisha has starred in more than 50 movies. Currently, she’s working on the upcoming Netflix show, ‘Bombay Begums’.
