HoR meeting underway (live)

KATHMANDU, July 30: A House of Representatives (HoR) meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 PM in the New Baneshwor-based Parliament Building.

In the meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out the details of the letter received from the President’s Office regarding bill verification.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, Speaker Ghimire will propose the names of the members of the Committee for the implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the directive principles, policies, and responsibilities of the state according to Rule 28(20) of the rules of procedure for the Joint meeting and Joint committee (operation) of the Federal parliament, 2080.

Likewise, in today’s meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Bishnu Paudel, will present a proposal of the Safe Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly, to be sent to the relevant committee for clause-by-clause discussion.
